The haunted houses are the stars of Halloween Horror Nights, but the scares definitely don't stop when you step back outside. HHN 35 features 10 haunted houses and four scare zones throughout Universal Studios Florida, combining major horror properties, original Universal stories and plenty of HHN history. Here's what is waiting in the fog.

šŸ‘» Houses & Scare ZonesĀ - You are here!

šŸšļø Haunted Houses

šŸŽŖ Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control

Two of Halloween Horror Nights' biggest icons finally collide. Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow bring their long and twisted history together as guests discover more about their rivalry before entering Oddfellow's strange Oddverse. For longtime HHN fans, this is one of the houses most closely connected to the event's own history.

🩸 Sinners

Enter 1930s Mississippi and the Smokestack Twins' juke joint, where the music is playing and the drinks are flowing until a group of bloodthirsty vampires crashes the party. Inspired by the film Sinners, the house combines music, atmosphere and vampire horror.

⚔ Stranger Things 5

Return to Hawkins for one final adventure. The Upside Down is invading once again as guests encounter Demogorgons, the Mind Flayer and Vecna in a house inspired by the final season of Stranger Things. Fans of the series should find plenty of recognizable characters, creatures and environments along the way.

ā›“ļø Hellraiser

Pinhead and the Cenobites bring the nightmare world of the original HellraiserĀ trilogy to Halloween Horror Nights. Guests enter a dark realm filled with the disturbing imagery, rituals and characters associated with the franchise.

šŸ”„ Evil Dead Burn

The Book of the Dead has been opened again, and things have gone very badly. An infernal force consumes a family home as possessed Deadites turn the house into a bloody nightmare inspired by Evil Dead Burn.

šŸŽø Ozzy Osbourne: Prince of Darkness

Music and horror collide in a house inspired by Ozzy Osbourne's solo career. Rather than recreating a traditional movie storyline, the house draws from Ozzy's music, imagery and theatrical style to create a decaying world filled with mayhem.

šŸ“ŗ H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: A Halloween Fright-Tacular!

H.R. Bloodengutz returns to WKNB for another Halloween scare-a-thon. This original Universal house mixes monsters, gore and a wonderfully strange television-show concept that longtime HHN fans may remember.

🦓 MADLANDS: Caged Cannibals

Survivors searching for refuge enter a defunct zoo in a dystopian wasteland. The animals may be gone, but something considerably worse has moved in. Warring cannibal factions now control the territory, and visitors have wandered directly into the middle of it.

šŸ¤– Cybergoria

Humanity entered machine-induced cryogenic sleep with the promise of one day awakening immortal. Instead, cybernetic caretakers have transformed their human subjects into something horrifying. This original Universal house mixes futuristic science fiction with body horror and a particularly unsettling idea of eternal life.

šŸ‘½ INVASION: Alien Abduction

The Grays have arrived, and they definitely aren't friendly. Guests enter the middle of an alien abduction at a devastated Southwestern homestead and attempt to survive whatever has arrived from beyond Earth.

āš ļø House Content & Intensity

Every HHN house is designed to frighten guests, but the type of horror varies tremendously.

Some houses rely heavily on gore and violence. Others contain supernatural or occult imagery, monsters, disturbing scenes, body horror or intense startle scares.

Once we've experienced the houses ourselves, we'll update this guide with our impressions of the intensity and content of each one.

šŸ‘» Scare Zones

šŸŽŖ Infernal Carnival of Nightmares

Jack and Dr. Oddfellow present a twisted carnival that brings the two HHN icons together for the event's 35th anniversary. Expect a sinister carnival atmosphere filled with references to Halloween Horror Nights history.

šŸŽ  Sideshow of Decay

Cindy Caine's time has arrived. With help from Dr. Oddfellow's dark magic, Cindy has opened a portal inside the carnival junkyard, bringing decayed nightmares from HHN's past back into the streets.

⚔ FORTNITEMARES

The horrors of Fortnite's Halloween event have escaped the island. FORTNITEMARES brings familiar creatures and imagery from the game into an HHN scare zone as the Storm spreads through the area.

🤔 Downtown Clowntown

The city has been completely overrun by clowns. Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Art the Clown and other murderous clowns take over the streets in what may be one of this year's most chaotic scare zones.

šŸ’” Tips

šŸ‘» Don't rush through the scare zones.Ā Stop and watch the performers for a few minutes.

šŸšļø Choose your must-do houses before arriving.Ā Ten houses can be difficult to complete on a busy night without a strategy.

šŸ“ø Look around.Ā The scare-zone sets can make fantastic HHN photos.

šŸŽ Pay attention inside the houses.Ā Universal puts an incredible amount of work into details that are very easy to miss when you're concentrating on the next scare.

šŸŒ™ Revisit scare zones later.Ā A zone can feel completely different as the night progresses.

🌟 Final Thoughts

HHN 35 has an unusually varied house lineup, from Stranger Things and Hellraiser to science-fiction horror, cannibals, vampires and characters pulled directly from Halloween Horror Nights history. The houses showcase Universal's scenic design and effects, while the scare zones carry the atmosphere out into the streets. We'll update this guide after experiencing HHN 35 ourselves with our favorites, intensity impressions and tips from inside the event.
