Liberty Tree Tavern 🍗🇺🇸

There are two types of Disney meals. The first is the "grab a burger because I have a Lightning Lane in twelve minutes" meal. The second is the "I need to sit down immediately and consume enough mashed potatoes to emotionally recover from Magic Kingdom crowds" meal. Liberty Tree Tavern proudly belongs in category two.

Tucked inside Liberty Square, this cozy restaurant feels like Thanksgiving moved into Magic Kingdom and decided to stay year-round. Between the colonial decor, giant platters of comfort food, and rooms filled with early American charm, it somehow feels relaxing and chaotic at the same time. Also, if stretchy pants were ever encouraged at Disney, this would be the place.
🍽️ Experience
Walking into Liberty Tree Tavern feels like stepping into a colonial home from the Revolutionary era. The restaurant is divided into themed rooms inspired by historical figures

like Benjamin Franklin and Paul Revere, which somehow makes eating turkey feel educational. Meals arrive family style, meaning giant platters begin appearing at your table and suddenly everyone becomes very invested in mashed potato strategy. There is something oddly satisfying about seeing bowl after bowl arrive while hearing "we can bring more if you'd like." Dangerous words. Very dangerous words. This is one of those places where people walk in hungry and leave wondering if they can cancel their next ride plans and nap instead.
🕯️ Atmosphere
Liberty Tree Tavern feels warm and cozy in a way that is surprisingly rare inside Magic Kingdom. The wood tones, lantern lighting, fireplaces, and colonial touches make it feel calm

even when the park outside is operating at full chaos mode. It feels more like an old historic inn than a theme park restaurant. It also provides one of the greatest luxuries in all of Florida: a long air-conditioned break. Outside it might be ninety degrees with humidity trying to ruin your life. Inside, you're eating pot roast under candlelight pretending you're a sophisticated colonial traveler.
💲 Price
$$$$ ($75+)
Liberty Tree Tavern is one of the pricier dining experiences in Magic Kingdom since it is all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style dining. You are paying for quantity, atmosphere, and the ability to politely ask for another bowl of mac and cheese.
🥜 Allergy & Dietary Information
Guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions can typically find options and accommodations throughout Disney dining locations. Allergy-friendly menus and ingredient information are often available, and Cast Members are usually happy to help explain available choices. Even guests with severe allergies often find Disney dining to be one of the easier theme park experiences to navigate, but always speak with a Cast Member or chef regarding your specific needs before ordering.
