The Country Bears do not always stay inside Grizzly Hall. Select members of the musical group step into Frontierland to greet fans, pose for pictures, sign autographs, and enjoy a little attention between performances. Big Al, Wendell, Shaker, and Romeo McGrowl may appear in different combinations, giving guests the chance to meet some of Magic Kingdom’s most wonderfully unusual characters. 🐻🪕

The Country Bears generally appear near Grizzly Hall, where they may greet guests outside the theater or wander through the surrounding Frontierland area.

The group of meetable bears may include Big Al, Wendell, Terrence “Shaker,” and Romeo McGrowl. They do not necessarily appear together, so one visit may feature a single bear while another could include several members of the group. Because the bears do

not speak, they communicate through gestures, dancing, hugs, and plenty of exaggerated country personality. Big Al is easy to recognize by his large size and wonderfully gloomy expression. Wendell brings playful energy, Shaker has a tall and shaggy appearance, and Romeo McGrowl stands out with his carefully styled blond hair.
