T-REX is one of the most heavily themed restaurants at Disney Springs, combining a large American menu with a prehistoric world filled with dinosaurs, meteor showers, giant

creatures, and dramatic themed dining rooms. It is especially popular with families because there is so much happening around you throughout the meal. If you have kids who love dinosaurs, this can feel as much like an attraction as a restaurant, and even adults may find themselves spending quite a bit of time looking around at all of the details.

🍴 Experience

Dining at T-REX is definitely not a quiet meal. From the moment you walk inside, you are surrounded by enormous prehistoric creatures, themed environments, changing lights, and

plenty of sound. Periodically, the restaurant goes through a meteor shower sequence that brings the entire space to life with flashing lights, rumbling sounds, and extra activity from the dinosaurs. The large menu and entertaining surroundings make it especially easy for families to spend a little longer here than they might at an ordinary restaurant.

ℹ️ Info

Type: American family restaurant with dinosaur theming

Location: Marketplace at Disney Springs

Service Style: Table-service dining with reservations recommended

Accessibility: Wheelchair and ECV accessible

✨ Atmosphere

The atmosphere is the real star at T-REX. Different areas of the restaurant feature their own prehistoric environments, including enormous dinosaurs, icy caverns, glowing colors, rock formations, and an underwater-inspired section. The animatronic creatures move and make sounds throughout the meal, while the regular meteor showers add another layer of excitement. It can be loud and visually busy, but that is exactly what many families come here to experience.

🍔 Food

The menu is broad and filled with familiar American favorites, which makes T-REX a fairly easy choice for families with different tastes. You may find burgers, sandwiches, pasta, seafood, chicken, ribs, steaks, salads, appetizers, and other comfort-food-style dishes. Kids

have plenty of recognizable options, while adults can choose from larger entrées if they want something more substantial. Desserts can be just as oversized and playful as the restaurant itself, with shareable options that fit the larger-than-life theme.

🍹 Drinks

T-REX offers cocktails, beer, wine, frozen beverages, soft drinks, and fun nonalcoholic specialty drinks. Some of the colorful beverages lean into the restaurant's playful personality, making them especially fun for kids or anyone who enjoys a little extra presentation with their drink. Adults will find tropical and specialty cocktails as well as familiar beer and wine choices to pair with dinner.

🌾 Allergies

Disney is very conscientious about food allergies and dietary needs, and many restaurants have procedures in place to help guests with common food allergies and dietary restrictions. Depending on the location, allergy-friendly menus, ingredient information, or assistance from a chef or manager may be available. Menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods can change, so guests with food allergies should discuss their specific needs with the restaurant team before ordering.

💰 Price

$ ($1–$20) per person

$$ ($21–$50) per person

$$$ ($51–$75) per person

$$$$ ($76+) per person

Price Tier: $$

Most guests ordering an entrée and a nonalcoholic drink should fall within the $$ category, although appetizers, specialty drinks, larger entrées, and desserts can bring the total higher. Families can often keep the bill more manageable by sharing some of the larger appetizers or desserts, especially since portions tend to be generous.

💡 Tips

🦖 Give yourself time to walk around and look at the different dining areas because the theming is a big part of the experience.

☄️ The meteor shower sequences can be loud and dramatic, especially for younger kids who are not expecting them.

📅 Reservations are a good idea because T-REX can be very popular with families.

🍰 Consider sharing dessert because some of the choices are designed for more than one person.

📸 There are plenty of fun dinosaur photo opportunities before or after your meal.

The Good

  • Fantastic choice for kids who love dinosaurs

  • One of the most immersive restaurant settings at Disney Springs

  • Large menu with plenty of familiar choices

  • Dining experience feels like part meal and part attraction

The Not-So-Good

  • The restaurant can be very loud and busy

  • The intense theming may be a little much for anyone wanting a relaxing meal

  • Kids may pay considerably more attention to the dinosaurs than to the food you ordered for them

🌟 Final Thoughts

T-REX is one of the easiest Disney Springs restaurants to recommend when the atmosphere matters just as much as the meal. The dinosaurs, meteor showers, themed dining rooms, and enormous amount of visual detail make it especially fun for families with younger kids. The food is familiar and approachable, but the real reason to visit is the experience of eating dinner in the middle of a prehistoric world.
