Stepping into Magic Kingdom brings about a feeling like no other.  Whether it's your first time or your 1001st time, you cannot help but feel delighted as you begin your day in the Town Square. Here, you can create unique memories like catching a Dapper Dans performance, getting a haircut in the Harmony Barber Shop, meeting Mickey in the Town Square Theater, or enjoying a meal at Tony's Town Square Restaurant. You can also find guest services or hop aboard the Walt Disney World Railroad. Continuing through the square leads you to Mainstreet U.S.A.

This shop-lined street, inspired by Walt Disney's childhood hometown, creates a juxtaposition of quaint yet magical, as large balloon bouquets float amongst the clouds, fanciful music dances in the wind, and the sweet scent of cotton candy wafts through the air, all leading to Cinderella's Castle in all its beauty. To your left, you can find gifts, souvenirs, or clothing at the Emporium. If you are looking for keepsake items, consider checking out Crystal Arts, Main Street Cinema, or Uptown Jewelers for beautiful artwork, collectibles, or jewelry.  Whether you are just starting out your day or have been strolling the park for a while, Main Street offers plenty of options for food, including The Main Street Bakery, Casey's Corner, Plaza Ice Cream, Main Street Confectionery, and The Plaza Restaurant, and if you desire a character dining experience, be sure to make reservations for The Crystal Palace, where you can meet all your favorite Disney characters. You will then find yourself in front of the castle, where, throughout the day, you will find parades and shows, so don't forget to take time to stop by during the day.

As you approach the castle, to your right is Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland offers a glimpse into the future with rides and shows that showcase human ingenuity and imagination.  Monster's Inc Laugh Floor to the right provides an interactive show full of laughs with your friends from Monster's Inc. Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin next door puts you in the middle of a battle to defeat Zurg in this interactive blaster ride. Straight ahead, to the right, is the Carousel of Progress. This slowly rotating show takes you on a nostalgic tour of the 20th Century. Turn to the left, and you will find The Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA), which will take you on a leisurely and scenic ride around Tomorrowland.  Directly above the TTA is Astro Orbiter, a high-in-the-sky rocket ride.  To the right, Space Mountain beckons you to hop on this dark ride into outer space.  Go a little further, and you can board a Lightcycle and ride through Tron like you are in the video game. Finishing off the rides in Tomorrowland is the Tomorrowland Speedway, a go-cart type attraction. If you're ready for food, you'll find several options in Tomorrowland. Auntie Gravitie's Galactic Goodies serves sweet treats, Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe and The Lunching Pad offer quick bites, and Tomorrowland Terrace is used for the firework dessert parties.

The next stop is Fantasyland. This land is sure to take you back to your childhood.   You can spin to your heart's content on the Mad Tea Party, as it is the first ride you will come across in Fantasyland upon leaving Tomorrowland. If you continue to your left, you will enter Storybook Circus. Here you can fly high on Dumbo the Flying Elephant, take a crazy ride with Goofy on the Barnstormer kiddie coaster, splash with Casey Jr. at Casey Junior Splash 'N' Soak Zone, find a station for the railroad, and meet your favorite Disney Characters.      Once finished in the Storybook Circus area, head to your right and meet Ariel, hop on Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid, or grab a bite in the Beauty and the Beast-themed area at Gaston's Tavern, or Be Our Guest. Live the Story of Belle in Enchanted Tales with Belle and then swing to the left to take a crazy ride through a diamond mine on The Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride or take a more relaxing ride through 100-acre woods on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. After the ride, you can find a sweet treat at Storybook Treats, or a quick snack at The Friar's Nook. As your adventure continues in Fantasyland, you will come to Prince Charming's Regal Carousel right behind Cinderellas Castle, Fairytale Hall, where you can meet several favorite Disney Princesses, Cinderella's Royal Table - an upscale character dining experience in the castle where reservations are strongly suggested, and the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which is a separately priced experience where your child can be transformed into a beautiful princess or handsome knight. Beyond the boutique sits Mickey's PhilharMagic to the left, and if you would like a quick bite, find Pinocchio's Village Haus to the right. Completing our journey through Fantasyland, you will find the iconic rides of Peter Pan's Flight to the left and "it's a Small World" to the right.

As you leave Fantasyland, you enter Liberty Square. where you will find the ever-popular Haunted Mansion to the right, along with the Momento Mori gift shop.  A little farther into Liberty Square, to the left, you will find The Hall of Presidents. This patriotic show is an audio-animatronic show of the US Presidents. To the right, you will find the Liberty Square Riverboat. This Riverboat of yesteryear is half a mile around Tom Sawyer Island and includes a 17-minute narrated tour about life on the Mississippi. If you're ready for food, this land has some great options. Liberty Tree Tavern serves up a traditional American meal in an all-you-care-to-eat family-style dinner.  Columbia Harbour House has plenty of seafood options, or you can stop by Liberty Square Market if you are in the mood for a quick snack.  If you are looking for a unique dining/snack option, check out Sleepy Hallow Refreshments.

Next up is Frontierland. Take a step back to the old west. To the left, you will find the Frontier Trading Post and The Country Bear Jamboree, straight ahead sits Tiana's Bayou Adventure water ride and a train station for the railroad, and to the left, you will see Tom Sawyer Island, where you can explore bridges, caves, and an old fort, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, a runaway train that careens through old west caves.  Food options in this land includes Diamond Horseshoe, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe, Golden Oak Outpost, and Westward Ho.

The final land to visit is Adventureland.  As you enter from Frontierland, you will immediately see Plaza del sol Caribe Bazaar, and beside it, you will find Pirates of the Caribbean, a family favorite updated to include Captain Jack Sparrow. As you continue into Adventureland, you will come to The Enchanted Tiki Room with singing animatronic birds to the left, and to the right, the Jungle Cruise, with an abundance of punny jokes. Straight ahead are the Flying Carpets of Aladdin and just beyond, to the right, you will find The Swiss Family Treehouse, where you can climb the 116 steps to the top of the treehouse for a view of the park. Before leaving Adventureland, check out some of the food options like Sunshine Tree Terrace or Aloha Isle for a soft-serve treat, Tortuga Tavern, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD. Skipper Canteen, or the Spring Roll Snack Cart.

As the sun falls on this Magical land, stop in front of the Castle for the Happily Ever After Fireworks show before hopping aboard a boat, monorail, or bus back to the real world.

Fun Facts

Magic Kingdom is built on the second floor of a structure.

The first floor is called the "Utilidor" and is how cast members travel the park.

Magic Kingdom is the smallest park at Walt Disney World in Florida at 104 acres.

Magic Kingdom's parking lot is bigger than the actual park, so remember your row!

Red pavement was used to create a perfect picture in front of the castle.

There is only one real flag at Magic Kingdom, which they take down at dusk.

Structures taller than 190 ft need a red light on top, so Walt made the castle 189 ft.

The entire carrousel was moved eight inches a week before opening to make it perfectly centered.

Main Street U.S.A. is based off Walt's hometown of Marceline, Missouri

The "it's a small world" dolls get haircuts because of the Florida humidity.

There are no bathrooms in Liberty Square.

Over 1,000,000 Fireworks are used yearly at Magic Kingdom.
