Mandi's Take
Disney's signature coffee shop known for its coffee and pastries. There are many locations throughout Disney Property, so you are sure to be able to find one if you need a drink to help keep your energy up while enjoying the parks. Though I am not one to drink coffee, the people in my family who do have been known to grab a drink often from one of the many stands so seems like a good enough option when needing a pick-me-up.

I will literally go to Animal Kingdom at lunch time just for Flame Tree Barbeque. There are times when I do nothing else but get this food. Though we have had a couple of times where it was either dry or not as big of portions as other visits, the majority of the time it has juicy, tender meat, with great barbeque sauce, and sides that are decent.

This is one of my favorite quick service restaurants, with a good selection of items and some of the best BBQ sauce around.

I know "puffy pizza" gets a bit of a bad rap, and though I am more of a thinner crust type of person, this pizza is okay if I am looking for something quick and want something a little more ordinary. Though there are plenty of better pizza options around the parks, I wouldn't consider this to be labeled as bad pizza and is a great option if you have picky eaters for kids.

Decent basic food with a cute idea for an explorer like canteen that matches the theme of the area. Though it isn't my first choice for restaurants in Animal Kingdom, if someone wants to eat there, I am fine with joining them.

This is a nice quick service with a more elevated complexity to the menu. I would suggest the cheeseburger pods. They are a popular choice and I feel for good reason. The vegetable slaw that accompanies it contains a boba that is provides an unexpected flavor and excitement to the dish.

Do I love Rainforest Cafe? Yes. Would I eat at it while at Animal Kingdom? Probably not. Though the animatronic animals and foliage forward decor matches the atmosphere of Animal Kingdom and makes sense for it being there. There are Rainforest Cafes in other places, so I would probably choose an Animal Kingdom specialty before this restaurant. That being said, I love the Rainforest Cafe Burgers and fries and feel like it is a great option for food, so if you really want to go, do it!

This is a cute little Ice Cream Truck in the perfect spot to get a treat. Though it is mostly just your average soft-serve ice cream, but they do have a fun Animal Kingdom Themed treat.

This is a Starbucks with a cute name. Personally, I don't do much in terms of coffee, tea, and pastries, so we don't tend to stop at this location, but if you need your Starbucks fix on the way to Kilimanjaro Safari, it's a great place to stop on the way.

Though I am not a fan of DOLE Whips, (I know, I know) I love that they give people the opportunity to get one in Animal Kingdom! They also offer breakfast, so if you rush to the Kilimanjaro Safari Ride in the morning, you have several options nearby to grab breakfast after.

Every Disney Park has a Shop full of Rice Crisp Treats, Candy Coated Apples, and a wide range of Cookies and other baked goods. This really isn't any different. It's all fun, and fine enough for treats, but don't expect anything fantastic even for how expensive it is.

This is one of the nicest restaurants on property. It is a very quiet restaurant unlike many of the restaurants on property. Highly reccommed for the atmosphere. While the menu does have many unique options, the flavor and food was done to perfection. There are kids options of course, however, they are not your standard kids meals necessarily. So if you have a picky eater, I would definitely check out the menu ahead of time.
